Spend Some Time Enjoying The Beach While Visiting La Manzanilla

When the weather back home is frightful and snow covers the ground, Mexico offers warm inviting beaches that are perfect for a winter getaway. La Manzanilla rentals offer the perfect place to stay for a week or more. They provide more room than the typical hotel along with additional comfort for a romantic getaway or time with the family.

The town is located along the southern edge of Bahia de Tenacatita, offering the perfect place to enjoy an ocean-side vacation. In addition to numerous day of sunshine there are plenty of sea breezes. Wiggle your toes through the sand or take a dip in the ocean as you create memories that will last a lifetime.

Travelers to this are will find plenty of activities to keep busy during both day and night. Enjoy a hike, snorkeling, bike rides, kayaking or boogie boarding. The mangrove offers an ideal place to see birds and other wildlife in its native habitat. Shoppers will enjoy Friday market days when it is possible to find practically anything in the stalls that open. Other shops are open daily.

Many of the larger restaurants are owned by English speakers and employ English speaking wait staff. The Palapa restaurants are found on the beach. Along with the taco stands, staff here normally only speak Spanish. If buying groceries, one should also expect the staff to speak primarily Spanish. Always be courteous and remember you are the visitor here so locals should not be expected to speak your language.

If visiting from the USA, you should plan to only drink bottled water. Most of the bars and restaurants in the area use purified water, but visitors should feel free to ask for themselves. If a visitor chooses to cook or prepare vegetables for a salad, they should use a product like Microdyn, available at the local grocery store, to purify the water used in cleaning them. Most vacation homes also provide one or two five gallon water bottles for the guest's use.

Visitors can find a wide variety of foods served in the restaurants in the area. The Palapas are located on the beach and offer a rich Mole as well as seafood omelets called ceviche. At night many taco stands will spring up offering freshly made tacos that are worth trying. At least some of the grocers are open from 8 am to 9 pm for supplies to cook at home.

Located on the tropical Pacific coast of Mexico in Jalisco, this area is accessible by auto and located 3.5 hours from Puerto Vallarta. Fly into the Manzanillo Airport and it is about a 45 minute drive. It is possible to get here by bus from Puerto Vallarta, but one would need to take a taxi from the town located to the south of most rentals.

La Manzanilla rentals provide a good option for lodging on the Pacific Coast of Mexico in the state of Jalisco. There are several beautiful beaches offering warm water. When the weather outside is frightful at home, Mexico is so delightful.
